I use it with a hydraulic press to get deeper impressions. It must be lined up perfectly or you can ruin the bangle press. It is sometimes difficult to get apart even if it is lubricated. A wooden dowel 5/8" by 2" used with a soft blow mallet is an ideal tool to part the halves.
Don't lend it out!

I just recently bought three of the bangle dies. And am very happy with how they work. Wubbers had the best price on these I saved 20 dollars each for a savings of 60 dollars. These gadget are a great way to get a value added premium to a bangle that you already might make. I made 2 dozen bracelets very quickly. My metal of choice was 12 gauge sterling silver. I used a one ton arbor press purchased from harbor freight. While pressing and holding the press lever down with my left hand I was able to use a plastic dead blow hammer to give the ram a hefty whack with the hammer to form the bangle deeply into the dies. I do not remove the bangle from the die until it is completely formed....I highly recommend these dies...
